ART WORKSHOP
‘ART ENABLES US TO FIND OURSELVES AND LOSE OURSELVES IN THE WORLD OF COLOURS AT THE SAME TIME’
The Art department of Little Angels Schools conducted 3 days workshop on Poster Colour painting and Collage making from 11th July to 13th July in its premises. A renowned artist Mr.T Jagadish who is the faculty in Arts department of Andhra University was the resource person. He was accompanied by Mr.Naresh Mohanto who is skilled in the field of painting with water colour.
70 students from Secondary School participated in the workshop. On the first day children were taught different types of techniques related to poster colouring and the budding artist of our school showcased their creativity by painting seascape and landscape.
The next day the focus was on portrait painting. Children were taught the different steps to be followed for making a portrait. The highlight of the workshop was collage work which took place on the concluding day. Children were exposed to the innovative ideas of making collage by using waste materials.
The concluding day of the workshop also saw an interactive session wherein students expressed their views and opinions. The workshop helped the students to overcome their inhibitions and was a good beginning for them to play with colours and express their ideas.
The Vice Principal Mrs.Sharada encouraged students to participate and asked them to maintain their individual skill of painting by using the techniques taught.
The occasion was graced by the Secretary & Correspondent Mr. M Venumohan.He motivated students by his valuable words and emphasized on developing this skill as a hobby.He also appreciated the art faculty for the initiative they have taken up.
On the whole the workshop stood at its grandeur.
