4TH INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATIONS ON 21.06.2018


“Yoga is a wellness programme to de-stress and when one owns one’s breath nobody can steal one’s peace”.

The school celebrated 4th International Yoga Day on June 21st 2018.  The Secretary & Correspondent Sri M. Venumohan welcomed the gathering and said the motto of the school this year is ‘The Greatest Wealth is Health’.  He has emphasized on the need for the well-being of the body, mind and soul.  He added Yoga brings the Union of body and mind.  He also felt very strongly that students need to inculcate good healthy practices right from childhood because a ‘Healthy Child is a Nation Pride’.

Ms. Reshu Agarwal, a Yoga Practioner and instructor conducted an Interactive Yoga Session for the students and the staff.  Her tenacious approach inspired the participants to practise Yogasanas very energetically.  The Yogasanas performed were Half Moon, T Posture, Sukrasana, Naukasana, Virabhadrasana etc.

Ms. Reshu Agarwal was felicitated by the Secretary and Correspondent and he thanked her for her dedicated service. 

The participants in their feedback opined that apart from regular asanas they also learnt a few new Yogasanas which would help them improve their physical fitness. 

They all felt this session has motivated them to decide that continuing the practice of yoga will help them to reduce many health issues. 

They all thanked Sir for this initiative and promised that the spirit will continue and it will percolate deep to reach children.
