Words are powerful tools that shape thoughts and ideas of the future.
The school celebrated English Language Day with great enthusiasm and active participation from students across all classes. Various competitions were conducted class-wise to promote age-appropriate learning and engagement. Classes 1–3 participated in Picture Composition, Classes 4–5 in Dictionary Hunt, Classes 6–7 in JAM (Just A Minute), and Classes 8–10 in Essay Writing. Students participated wholeheartedly, displaying creativity, confidence and a strong command of the language.
A Special Assembly was conducted on 23rd April 2026 to commemorate English Language Day, which marks the birth and death anniversary of William Shakespeare. The assembly was held through the public address system in the presence of Director Smt. Swathi Ma’am, Principal Smt. Indu Malini Ma’am, and Headmistress Smt. Ramadevi Ma’am.
The programme began with a prayer by the school choir, followed by an introduction to the significance of the day and a welcome address. Students took a pledge to improve their English communication skills and develop reading habits. They highlighted the importance of the English language and paid tribute to William Shakespeare by speaking about his life, literary contributions and timeless quotes.
Director Smt. Swathi Ma’am emphasized the significance of English in today's world and appreciated the students' efforts. The Academic Heads encouraged students to enhance their oratory and communication skills.
The assembly concluded with a Vote of Thanks. The dedication and teamwork of the English Department in organizing the competitions and assembly contributed greatly to the success of the celebration.
