Library Week Celebrations 2023


The National Library Week Celebrations were celebrated in our school from the 15th to 20th Nov, 2023. A book fair was organised by M/s Pages for 2 days on the 15th and 16th of Nov, 2023 as a part of the week celebrations.  A wide range of books of all categories were displayed for the students and parents to choose and buy.

 

The book fair was inaugurated by Director Smt. Ch. Swathi and also graced by Founder and Chairman Shri. M. Venu Mohan, Principal Smt. Indrani, the Student Council members and the Good Readers from classes 4 to 10.

 

Speaking on the occasion Chairman Sir advised the students to select General Knowledge books, Year Books, Competitive Exam books which helps them to prepare for public exams. He thanked the Management of M/s Pages for their continuous support to Little Angels School and thanked them for organizing the fair to encourage the reading habits in students.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Director Smt.Ch. Swathi also encouraged the regular readers of the library to explore the library and motivate their friends to read and utilize the library and improve their vocabulary.

On 20th Nov 2023, the Valedictory function was organised. The function was attended by Vice- Principal Smt. Indu Malini.

 

From this academic year, the School Management has decided to present ‘Star Reader Badge’ to encourage the good readers who are regular visitors to library in the afternoon session.

 

The prize winners of various competitions were awarded and the regular visitors to library were presented a book and a badge by Vice-Principal Smt. Indu Malini.

After the prize distribution program, students presented skits in various languages. Students of classes 4 & 5 presented mythological charcters - Dasaavatar, students of class 7 presented an English skit on an episode of‘Sherlock Holmes’ and a Hindi skit - ‘Akbar and Birbal’ depicting the wittiness of Birbal . The students of class 8 presented a humorous Telugu skit ‘Paramanandayya Shishyulu’ and students of classes 9 & 10 presented motivational Speeches on ‘Patriotic Leaders’. Their performances were commendable.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Smt. Indu Malini appreciated all the regular visitors to library, the prize winners in various competitions and all the skit participants who have taken part in various activities. She advised the students to make maximum use of the library facilities.

 

Few students gave their feedback about their favourite book and character. The students were elated after receiving the Star Reader Badge and thanked the Management for presenting the badge.
