Educational Trip Class 5

“A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to its old  dimensions” – Oliver Wendell Holmes

Travel expands our horizons and school life cannot be complete without the fun of educational tours and picnics. These trips are tailor made to facilitate the students to know and understand the world. These trips act as a catalyst to think, explore and broaden the outlook.

Class 5 students were fortunate enough to get a chance to explore the coastal belt from INS Kursura till the fishing harbour and back to VUDA Park. During this enthralling trip the students were exposed to all the important site seeing spots on the belt starting with INS Kursura, Coco Arena, RK Beach, Kali Matha Temple, Hawa Mahal, Aquarium, Visakha Museum, Sea Harrier Museum, TU 142 Aircraft Museum and War Memorial. The Class Counsellors took on the role of Tour Guides and exchanged information with the students about the notable places.

Students too shared their knowledge with the peers and the teachers. This experience was a  first of its kind for the students and it kept them engaged throughout the coastal navigation. The next destination was the VUDA Park where students relished their snacks by sharing with their friends. They played to their hearts content in  the sprawling  meadows. The  students created a bank of memories by this trip. They shared their views which were kept  in record. To sum up, the students were facilitated with  information beyond textbooks. This trip provided a much need break for the students as well as the teachers  from the hectic daily schedule and also created an  opportunity to build a bond between the learner and the  facilitator.
