Library Week Celebrations 2022


 

                                         

The National Library Week Celebrations were conducted in our school from 15th to 19th Nov, 2022. As a part of the celebrations a ‘’Book Fair’’ was organized by M/s Pages for 3 days from 15th to 17th Nov. A wide range of books of all categories were displayed for the students and parents to choose and buy.

    The ‘’Book Fair’’ was inaugurated by the Director Smt Ch. Swathi and also attended by Founder Director Smt. M. Ranganayaki. Speaking on the occasion, Smt.M.Ranganayaki applauded the regular readers and encouraged them to visit the library and continue to read good books. She also appreciated Mr. Sunil from M/s Pages for their continuous support to Little Angels School and thanked him for organising the book fair to encourage reading habits in students.

As a part of the ‘Library Week Celebrations’ a number of competitions like ‘Design a Book Mark’ and ‘Crossword Puzzle’ for IV & V category, for VI & VII category ‘Advertise a Book’ and write about your ‘Favourite Author’ and for VIII,IX & X category a ‘Book Review on Personality Book’ and ‘Written Quiz’ on current affairs were held.

The Valedictory function was organised on 19th November. It was graced by the Directors - Smt. M. Ranganayaki, Smt. Ch. Swathi and Sri. M. Kranti Kiran and Vice Principal Mrs. N. Indu Malini.

All winners of the Library Week Competitions were presented with books by Director Smt. Ch. Swathi.The regular readers who visit library in the afternoon session were presented books by Director Sri. M. Kranti Kiran.

After the prize distribution ceremony, skits were presented by the students. Students of Primary classes presented a beautiful “Fairy Tale’ Character parade and Hindi-Dohe. Students of Middle school presented ‘The Power of Avengers’ and Secondary students presented ‘Tintin in America’ and ‘Jane Eyre’.

Speaking on the occasion Director, Shri. M. Kranti Kiran, appreciated all the participants and specially applauded the participants of the ‘Avengers’ and ‘Jane Eyre’ skit. He requested the students to motivate others to spend time in the library.

Smt. M.Ranganayaki in her speech,  congratulated the regular readers and prize winners. She appreciated all the participants who have presented and taken part in the competitions and various activities. She advised students to make use of the facilities in the school and take guidance of the teachers and librarians. She advised students to take part in the extra-curricular activities and hone their different skills. She also praised the library teachers and appealed to the students to donate books to the classroom library on their birthday.

Vice Principal Mrs. N. Indu Malini applauded the participants and advised students to read self-help books.

Many students also spoke about their experiences, their favourite books and characters.
