REGIONAL SCIENCE EXHIBITION 2019-20


Science is inexplicably linked with our lives and helps us to understand the world around us better. Scientific and technological developments contribute to progress and help improve our standards of living. It is thus imperative to encourage our students to think, learn, solve problems and make innovations in the field of Science and Technology. To generate curiosity and develop scientific attitude amongst learners, the Central Board of Secondary Education has organized a science exhibition at Regional level. This year Regional Science Exhibition was held at DAV public school, Velechary, Chennai, on 29.11.2019 and 30.11.2019.

The theme for the exhibition was “Science and Technology for sustainable development with a thrust on Water conservation.” Two teams from Little Angels School have got an opportunity to participate at Regional level. One project was presented by Lohit Patnaik and C.Pranay of 10B entitled as “ SACHET” – an alarming system to Railway  accidents, under the sub theme “Future transport and communication” and the second project which was a research based concept as ‘SAMAY- a fundamental theory of time, was presented by P.S.S. Aashrith of 10B. 

118 schools from Chennai, Puducherry and Andhrapradesh have participated in the Exhibition. Little Angelites have cut an edge over others in their confidence, levels and presentation of their innovative ideas. They  got an opportunity to interact with an eminent scientist Dr. Pravakar Mishra working at National centre for coastal research -  Ministry of Earth Sciences, Govt. of India, who extended his guidance and support to the participating students. Participating in such exhibitions give students an opportunity to assess themselves and provides a platform to showcase their talents and focuses on holistic development of the students.
