The National Library week celebrations were conducted in our school from 15th November to 20th November, 2019. As a part of the celebrations a ‘Book Fair’ was organized by ‘Scholastic Books’ for 3 days from 15th to 17th November. A wide range of books of all categories were displayed for the students and parents to choose and buy.
The ‘Book Fair’ was inaugurated by the Secretary and Correspondent Sri.M.Venumohan. The response for the fair was very good and a number of students and parents visited the fair & bought books of their choice. A ‘Lucky Dip’ draw was taken on the last day of the fair. The winners M.Akshaya of 1-G, G.Thasvika of 2-D and B.Manohar of 4-F were presented with books.
As a Part of the ‘Library Week Celebrations’, a number of competitions were held like writing about ‘a Favorite Fairy tale character’ & ‘Crossword Puzzle’ for IV & V category, for VI & VII category Personality Review and written quiz and for VIII, IX & X category a book review and story writing competitions was held. All the winners were presented with books.
On the valedictory function the regular readers who visit library in the afternoon session were presented books by Secretary & Correspondent, who personally selected the books for classes IX & X students.
All the competition winners, participants & volunteers were presented books by the Principal Ms.Nafeesa Begum.
Students presented ‘Telugu Padyalu’ , Introduction of Comic Characters’ like Tin-Tin, Noddy & Geronimo stilton and an English skit ‘The Elves and The Shoe Maker’ on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the school Founder Chairman told the students the importance of a good library, good books and developing class room libraries. He advised students to have exemplary behavior. He enumerated the development of school library till today and said it is one the best libraries where intellectual development is taking place continuously. He advised children to keep reading books.
