SADAK SURAKSHA JEEVAN RAKSHA


As a part of 30th National Safety Week 2019, Road Safety Awareness Programme was conducted today in Little Angels School by the Road Transport Authority, Visakhapatnam.  The students of Class 9th and students from       Classes 6th to 8th who come to school on cycle and by APSRTC bus and teachers were a part of the programme.

The Deputy Transport Commissioner,  Dr. S. Venkateswara Rao addressed the students and drove the point home that if anyone drives a vehicle before attaining 18 years of age, he/she will be imprisoned for a period of one month besides Rs. 1500/- fine.  He also added that if the vehicle belongs to their parents, they will also be imprisoned.  He asked the students to give helmets as birthday  gift and refuse to climb a two wheeler if the helmets are not worn by the parents.  He spoke in detail about what children can do to bring awareness in their parents, relative and others.

A Power Point Presentation with apt videos was shown by Sri Bucchi Raju, Motor Vehicle Inspector emphasizing why Safety rules are to be adhered.  The students have learnt many rules of Road Safety through this programme.

On behalf of the Management, the Principal thanked the Deputy Transport Commissioner Dr. S. Venkateswara Rao, Sri A.H. Khan,  Retd. Road Transport Officer,  Sri  Bucchi Raju, Motor Vehicle Inspector for their valuable time spent in making the young minds to be very disciplined in adhering to road rules.  She also asked all the students to impart the road safety education to all the members of the family.
