To commemorate the birth anniversary of Shri Gidugu Ramamurthy Pantulu, revered as the Father of the Telugu Renaissance, Little Angels School celebrated Telugu Bhasha Dinotsavam with great fervour in the school auditorium on 29th August 2025.
The occasion was graced by the presence of the Founder and Chairman Shri M. Venumohan, Principal Smt. N. Indu Malini, enthusiastic parents and the winners of various competitions held as part of the celebrations.
The programme commenced with vedic chanting and prayer, invoking divine blessings, followed by a graceful welcome dance – “Alokaye Sri Balakrishnam”presented by the students.
Students of Classes 1 to 3 enthralled the audience with dance performances, recitation in Telugu names of 60 Telugu years, proverbs, riddles, showcasing their proficiency in Telugu vocabulary and oratory skills. Students of Classes 4 and 5 staged a beautiful presentation on the Dashavataras (ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu).
The students of Classes 6 and 7 captivated everyone by enacting ancient and modern poets in traditional attire.
The senior students of Classes 8, 9, and 10 presented an insightful reading on the life and contributions of Gidugu Ramamurthy Pantulu to spoken Telugu and staged the play “Bhuvana Vijayam”, transporting the audience to the glorious Vijayanagar Empire. The highlight of the drama was the court scene of the Ashta Diggajas, the eminent poets in the court of Sri Krishnadevaraya, which left the gathering spellbound.
In his address, the Founder and Chairman, Shri M. Venumohan, praised the students for their expressive performances, costumes and dialogue delivery. He appreciated the teachers for their efforts in nurturing creativity and spontaneity in students and thanked the parents for their constant encouragement and support. Principal Smt. N. Indu Malini also congratulated the participants and highlighted the importance of preserving and promoting the Telugu language.
The celebrations concluded with the distribution of prizes to the winners of various competitions by the Founder and Chairman and the Principal. Parents expressed their joy and lauded the school management for their continuous efforts towards the all-round development of students.
The event echoed the richness of Telugu culture and heritage, beautifully encapsulated in the lines:
