GVMC and the Brand ambassadors of Swatch Bharat jointly conducted an awareness programme about cleanliness in the sector -1 Park on 04.09.2017.    The   Municipal Commissioner was the Chief guest.  The Secretary and Correspondent of  Little  Angels School also attended the programme.  The students of Little Angels School, of Class IX and the local residents of sector-1 participated .   A demonstration of separating wet and dry wastes was given using flash cards.  An easy method of making compost at home was also demonstrated.  They motivated students to make compost at home.  They informed the various steps taken by GVMC to reach the first position among cities as the ‘Cleanest City’ in the country.  They encouraged students to become brand ambassadors, to spread awareness about waste management.  The Secretary and Correspondent addressed the gathering, encouraged the audience to become volunteers and active participants to put Visakhapatnam on the Country map as the ‘Cleanest City’
