EXCURSION (Bangalore, Mysore, Coorg and Wayanad )- 2018-19


Some memories are unforgettable remaining ever vivid and heartwarming!

One such memory is an excursion.

This year it was organised to Bangalore, Mysore, Coorg and Wayanad during the Dussehra vacation. A total of 61 students were accompanied by the Vice – Principal Mrs. V.Sharada, the team leader and five teachers. A visit to the Visveswarayya Museum, a treasure trove of machines and artifacts related to Science and technology, aroused scientific temper. The students enjoyed being with nature when they visited  Lal Bagh Botanical garden. Spirituality was at its peak when the students visited the ISKCON temple.

Spirituality the essence of life was well understood with the visit to Chamundeswari temple in Mysore. The students were captivated with the intricate designs when they visited the Tipu Sultan’s palace  and Tomb in Sri Rangapatnam. Brindavan Gardens,  was an eye feast with lush greenery, illuminating lights and mesmerizing laser show. Students got  fascinated by the rare and exotic species when they visited the Mysore Zoo. Students lauded the magnificent construction St. Philomena’s church in Mysore, one of the oldest churches in India. The most astounding experience was the visit to the most beautiful architectural marvel, Mysore palace. It was a breathtaking sight to see the Palace illuminated with 5 crores worth lighting.

Students got enlightened about the Tibetan culture when they visited Golden temple. Students were excited to see the  fish Sanctuary and coffee plantation .Students watched training session in the Dubare Elephant camp.  Students were adventurous  and enjoyed the rides to their heart content when they visited Nisargadham Amusement park. The students were spellbound by the Scenic beauty of Kerala- God’s own country. At Lakkidi view point in Wayanad the panoramic view of the valley was  an eye feast. A visit to the Tholpetty Wile Life sanctuary, gave a live and enriching experience to students as they enjoyed the open jeep safari  spotting animals in their journey. A visit to the  Banasura sagar dam was a visual treat for the students . The students had a unique experience, boating in the  Pookode lake surrounded by  calm and serene atmosphere.

The trip enabled the students to learn some life skills like time management and being accommodative. It was indeed a memorable experience.
