Keeping the importance of greenery in view, Little Angels School, Ukkunagaram celebrated Vanamahotsava with great enthusiasm. On 16.07.18, children of class 8 planted medicinal plants and learnt about their importance. Plants like Aloe Vera, Lemon grass, Centella, Phyllanthus, Acalypha etc., were planted. On 17.07.18 children of class 9 planted stem cuttings in tender coconut shells for the school nursery instead of using plastic covers. Poster painting competition on the topic ‘Think Green and Live Green’ was also conducted for the children of classes 6 to 10 as a part of the celebration.
