Little Angels School, Ukkunagaram, observed National Reading Day on 19th June, 2026 with great enthusiasm to honour Shri P.N. Panicker, the Father of the Library Movement in India, and to promote reading as a lifelong habit among students.
The celebration began with a special assembly conducted through the PA system. Students shared inspiring talks on the importance of reading and the remarkable contributions of P.N. Panicker, encouraging everyone to embrace books as lifelong companions.
Our respected Principal Mrs. Visalakshi addressed the students and highlighted the importance of reading in shaping young minds. She motivated students to dedicate at least 20 minutes every day to reading, reminding them to Read for 20 minutes a day and watch your world grow.
As part of the celebration, students and staff took the National Reading Day Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to reading regularly, exploring diverse genres, and nurturing a culture of learning.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, and memorable moments were captured through photographs and videos by the class counsellors.
The celebration successfully reinforced the vision of P.N. Panicker and inspired students to make reading an integral part of their daily lives.
