As a part of the joyous celebrations a special outdoor assembly was organized by the Blue House team of teachers and students. The stage was decorated with stars, balloons and streamers. The programme began with the rendition of the golden verses from the Bible by a student. A pleasant and happy atmosphere was created when the choir sang the Christmas carols. The students also presented a conversation on the traditions and practices involved in the Christmas festivities.

The students of the Primary and Secondary wings showcased a vibrant dance performance spreading the joyous spirit of Christmas.

To help teach the story of the saviour’s birth and to remind us all what Christmas is really about, a nativity skit was presented by the students recalling the nativity of Jesus.

The best way to respect a farmer is to respect his produce by not wasting it.

The 23rd of December is celebrated as ‘National Farmers Day’-to commemorate the birth anniversary of the 5th Prime Minister of India, Chaudhary Charan Singh and his contributions towards the upliftment of farmers in the country. As a part of the day, an article highlighting the pivotal role farmers play in sustaining our nation was presented in the assembly.

The members of the Social Studies Club ‘Virasat’ went for an Educational Trip to the ‘Parawada Village Fields’. The students, very enthusiastically, interacted with the farmers and gathered information about the kind of crops grown the region, the techniques used in farming and about the expenditure and income they get from farming.

The students also interacted and enquired about the facilities they get from the government and the problems faced by them. The students got a chance to see how threshing and winnowing is done. The trip to the agricultural fields proved to be very beneficial to the students.

Principal Smt. Visalakshi in her message advised the students to reflect on the good qualities they have and share happiness and goodwill, transcending religious boundaries to make the Christmas Celebrations a special and inclusive time for all.

She also urged the students to acknowledge and honour the tireless efforts of the farmers, the sweat and sun they toil under and the bountiful harvests that grace our plates.
