A career counselling session was held in the school auditorium on 9th October 2025 for students of Classes 8, 9, and 10, including NCC girl cadets and Defence aspirants. The session aimed to guide students to explore promising career opportunities in the Indian Defence Sector and was attended by about 170 students.
The event was graced by our Founder and Chairman Sri M. Venu Mohan, Director Smt. Ch. Swathi, and Principal Smt. Indu Malini.
The keynote speaker, Colonel Gopendra, Commanding Officer, 2 (Andhra) Girls Battalion, NCC Vizianagaram, enlightened the students about various career pathways in the Defence Services through an engaging PowerPoint presentation. He explained in detail about examinations such as NDA, CDS, AFCAT, and SSB, along with the preparation strategies and interview procedures. The Colonel emphasized the importance of passion, consistency, and perseverance in building a successful career in the armed forces.
Accompanying him was Mrs. Kavita Bhandari, Consultant for Legal Awareness and Child Protection and Resource Person with Government and Non-Government Agencies. She spoke about welfare organizations run for families of Defence personnel. Through a series of photographs, she highlighted the facilities available and gave an insight into the life of Defence personnel.
An interactive session followed, where students enthusiastically raised questions, which were patiently and insightfully answered by the resource persons. The guests were felicitated by Founder and Chairman Sri M. Venu Mohan Sir as a gesture of gratitude.
The programme concluded with the NCC song, sung with pride by the NCC girl cadets.
The session proved to be a resounding success, inspiring students to dream big and serve the nation with dedication. Many expressed a keen interest in pursuing careers in the Defence Sector, taking with them the key message that discipline, determination, and dedication pave the path to success.
