Hindi Diwas Celebrations

Hindi Diwas is celebrated on 14th September each year to commemorate the adoption of Hindi as one of the official languages of India. This historic decision was made in 1949 when the Constituent Assembly declared Hindi, written in the Devanagari script, as the official language of the nation. The date also coincides with the birth anniversary of Beohar Rajendra Simha, a distinguished scholar and advocate of the Hindi language. Acting on the recommendation of Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, the observance of this day was introduced to emphasize the role of Hindi as a unifying language in a linguistically diverse country.

At Little Angels School, the Margdarshini Club organizes the Hindi Diwas celebrations every year with enthusiasm and dedication. Planning commences well in advance, engaging both students and teachers to ensure that the event is meaningful and memorable.

This year, the Hindi Pakhwada was conducted from 1st to 11th September. Students from different classes presented speeches, Dohe, Shloka Vachan, Kavita Pathan (Poetry Recitation), Bal Geet (Rhymes), storytelling sessions, and reflections on eminent Hindi poets. These presentations, delivered each morning, created a vibrant literary atmosphere across the school and paved the way for the main celebration.
