Career Counselling Programme For Students of Class 10
“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of the dreams because dreaming after all is a form of planning”.
An introductory session about career counselling was organised in the school for class 10 students on 23.08.2025.The session was led by Smt. Sonali Roy Dassani, Professional Counsellor & Certified Career Coach.The Career Counselling session organised, gave good insights as to how students have to plan their future. It was a very good motivational session.
The necessity to identify the needs was explained using Maslow's hierarchy of needs which proposes humans are motivated by a series of needs that must be met in a certain order to achieve them. Understanding the needs defines one's Career. Their decisions have an impact on their earning which can lead to a comfortable life. It was also highlighted that things do not happen overnight but there is lot of strenuous and planned efforts required in order to become a successful person in society. The importance of developing positive attitude and good virtues was emphasized.
The importance of skills worth developing was also emphasised. Emerging career opportunities in the present scenario were explained well. The session was interactive and students participated actively. The programme provided students with valuable insights into career planning and motivated them to dream big while working with discipline and consistency.
