International Yoga Day


In celebration of International Yoga Day, observed globally on 21st June, our school conducted a vibrant and inspiring yoga session to promote the importance of physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
Event Highlights:
Graced by Principal Ma’am, Mrs. Indu Malini, Headmistress, Mrs. Rama Devi, dedicated teachers and enthusiastic students, the event began with a presentation on the history and significance of yoga.  The Yoga session that followed was conducted by the Yoga Instructor, Dr. Jaya. It comprised a sequence of warm-up and loosening exercises, followed by standing and seated asanas, culminating in pranayama. Each posture was demonstrated with precision, allowing participants to experience the seamless harmony between movement and breath. The students and teachers demonstrated and practiced the yoga techniques with dedication and enthusiasm. They pledged to incorporate yoga into their daily routines to lead a healthy and balanced life. The celebrations concluded with an inspiring address by Principal Ma’am, Mrs. Indu Malini, who encouraged students to embrace yoga for inner peace, physical fitness, and improved concentration.A heartfelt vote of thanks was delivered by one of the students, marking the conclusion of the event.

Additional Participation: 

A contingent of 72 students - boys and girls from classes 8, 9 & 10 with PET and teachers & staff participated in the ‘Yogandhra’ event held at VUDA Health Arena on 21st June 2025. The event, organized as part of promoting physical and mental well-being through yoga in unison as part of an attempt to enter the Guinness World Records for the world's largest open-air yoga gathering, in which our honorable Prime Minister, Shri. Narendra Modi and our Chief Minister, Shri.N.Chandrababu Naidu, honoured the event that took place in Visakhapatnam on the occasion of International Yoga Day. The event is a grand success, which witnessed the enthusiastic participation of young and old. The session focused on breathing techniques, basic asanas, and the importance of mindfulness. Our students showcased discipline, team spirit, and eagerness to learn, and were appreciated by the event organizers for their active involvement. They received certificates, yoga mats, T-shirts, and refreshing takeaways, which will surely inspire their peers back at school.
