FIELD TRIP TO POST OFFICE FOR CLASS 3
The students of class 3 were taken on a field trip to the Post Office, Sector - 6, Ukkunagaram on the 29th of October to educate them on the Postal Services.
The staff of the Post Office demonstrated the process of sorting and stamping of the letters. Students were also shown inland letters, post cards and various stamps.
Children were enthusiastic to see of the oldest means of communication. Gone are the days, where people waited eagerly for the postman to receive messages from near and dear. Today with the modern means of communication like telephone and internet, much importance is not given to the postal service wherein children are unaware of its importance in our lives.
