TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATIONS (05.09.18)
“A teacher plants the seeds of knowledge,
Sprinkles them with care and love,
and patiently nurtures their growth
to produce tomorrow’s dreams”.
The school celebrated ‘Teachers’ Day’ with great zeal and enthusiasm. The day commemorates the birth anniversary of the great scholar, philosopher and teacher ‘Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’.
A special assembly was organised on this occasion. The Principal Smt.Visalakshi and Headmistress Smt.Arundhati paid floral tributes to the portrait of Dr.Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Children presented poems and an article which highlighted the values of a teacher. The members of the student council in their message praised their teachers for their untiring efforts in nurturing them.
Principal Smt.P.Visalakshi addressed the students and teachers and stressed on the role of a teacher in moulding the young minds into responsible citizens.
Later the students took up their roles as teachers in their respective classes.
Director Smt.M.Rangayaki addressed all the staff members on 04.09.18 and thanked them for their dedication and hard work. She also said that teachers need to adopt new methodologies and technology to create modern and effective approaches to teaching and learning.
Smt.M.Ranganayaki, who is a source of inspiration to the teaching fraternity, motivated the teachers to strive hard to mentor the students and encourage them to enjoy learning and be the best they can. The winners of the various games conducted for the teachers were then awarded prizes by the Director. Mementos were awarded to all the staff members for their whole-hearted contribution towards the success of the institution.
Little Angels family assembled with great enthusiasm at Hotel Daspalla. The Management felicitated the staff for their outstanding and dedicated service. 23 staff members were felicitated by the founders for their relentless hard work Mrs.Jayanthi, Mrs.Jhansi and Mrs.Sonali of Ukkunagaram branch were felicitated for completion of 10 years of service. They expressed their deep gratitude to the management.
The Director Smt M.Ranganayaki in her message appreciated the commitment of the felicitated faculty members.
Chairman Shri M.Venumohan also accolade the contribution of the felicitated faculty and urged the teaching fraternity to impart the core values of life to the children.
The programme was followed by sumptuous lunch.
“Teaching is the greatest act of optimism”.
