EK BHARAT SHRESTHA BHARAT

Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat programme aims to enhance interaction and promote mutual understanding between people of different states through the concept of state pairing. This programme was launched on the occasion of the 140th birth Anniversary of ‘Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel’ on 31st October 2015 by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This programme has been initiated to promote and strengthen the unity and integrity of the country.

As a part of the initiative, Little Angels School celebrated Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat to promote the spirit of national integration between the paired states Andhra Pradesh and Assam, to showcase the rich heritage and culture, customs and traditions of either states for enabling students to understand and appreciate the diversity, thus fostering a sense of common identity.

As a part of the programme, various activities on Sankranthi representing Andhra Pradesh and Bihu representing Assam were conducted in the school. The celebrations continued for 3 days filling the school with gaiety and festivity.

DAY-1(08/01/24):

    The following were the activities conducted for students of classes 1to 9 and the students were instructed to participate in any one activity of their choice. Students participated with lot of enthusiasm.

1.Make a Greeting Card on Happy SANKRANTI & BIHU CELEBRATIONS (2023-24)

2. Draw a Pot/ Kite and decorate with colours.

CLASSES 3 to 5

1. Kite making.

2. Rangoli making.

3. Pot Painting.

4. Poster making on Happy Sankranti & Bihu.

CLASSES 6 to 9

1. Paint and decorate small earthen pots.

2. Quiz on the paired states Andhra Pradesh & Assam.

3. Collage making -showcasing cultural diversities of Andhra Pradesh & Assam.

DAY-2(09/01/24):

   A colorful stall was put up showcasing the cultures and traditions of Andhra Pradesh and Assam. Principal Visalakshi madam inaugurated the stall and addressed the students by making them aware of the two states.

The motive behind the programme is the importance of unity in diversity. Students displayed the traditional dresses, delicious dishes, main festivals, dance forms, famous sport, state symbols, handicrafts etc. pertaining to both states. 

DAY-3(10/01/24):

 A special assembly was organized in the school wherein students presented a conversation about the two states. A colourful splendid dance was performed by the students depicting the festivals of Sankranthi and Bihu. Principal Visalakshi madam appreciated the performances of students and motivated the students to show interest to learn the cultures of different states.

A power point presentation was shown by the students which showcased the cultures & traditions of Andhra Pradesh and Assam.

Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat is an ambitious scheme that seeks to further strengthen the existing unity among diverse cultural and religious groups of India.
