Field Trip To BARC
The best education happens beyond the classroom.
Field trips can be a wonderful way to bring learning to life. The experience that students gain on field trips can help them better understand and appreciate the world around them.
The students of classes 8,9 & 10 were taken to BARC (Bhaba Atomic Research Centre) on 22nd November for the school Annual Field Trip. BARC is a multidisciplinary organization and a national laboratory to support the nuclear programme in the country.
The students, with lot of curiosity visited the various units and could learn and understand about the research work involved in testing water, air, crops, soil, food etc.
They also gathered knowledge about Super Computers, Nano Technology, Electromagnetic Radiation, Photonics etc. The students were drawn to a new world of science and technology and expressed that the trip proved to be very educative and inspirable to them.
