GANESH CHATURTHI & MF. HUSSAIN'S BIRTH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS


“May Ganesha always stay as our mentor and protector and remove obstacles from our life”

 The students of Little Angels School celebrated the auspicious festival  of Ganesh Chaturthi on 16-09-23 with gaiety and religious fervour in the school premises.

  A special morning assembly was organised on this occasion in which students rendered a shloka on lord Ganesha. Students of Little Greens club explained the procedure of making eco-friendly Ganesh idols using clay. They also demonstrated the eco-friendly way of immersing the idol to create awareness on the conservation of natural resources.

 To promote the usage of eco-friendly idols for a safer environment, the members of the student council prepared and presented clay idols to the officials of Town Administration Department and Agro Forestry Department of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant.

 Art club ‘Splash’ celebrated the Birth Anniversary of the legendary Indian artist MF. Hussain on the same day. Students of secondary classes presented an article on the contributions of the most celebrated and respected painter, popularly known as the ‘ Picasso of India’. Students also shared some tips on how to draw pictures for the beginners. Later, prizes and merit certificates were awarded to the best performers of the spot painting competition conducted by the art club.

Principal Smt. Visalakshi addressed the school. She congratulated the winners of the spot painting competition. She advised the students to follow the tips shared by the art teacher in their classes to improve their drawing skills. She also motivated the students to follow their passion with hard work and never- ending zeal to achieve success. On talking about the great festival of Vinayaka Chaturthi, she pointed out how lord Ganesha was worshipped before beginning anything new or auspicious. She urged the students to buy and use clay idols instead of idols made of Plaster of Paris to ensure that our pooja is a part of sustainable development of the environment. The programme concluded with the chants of Ganapati Bappa Moria!
