REPUBLIC DAY 2023
Little Angels School celebrated 74th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The celebration commenced with the welcome of our respected Principal Smt.Visalakshi and the student chief guest, Kumari P.Vasundhara Lakshmi of 10th B who has topped class 10 in the average of three Periodic Tests conducted in the academic year 2022-23.
The student chief guest unfurled the National flag and the students and teachers pledged to uphold the honour and integrity of the nation. It was followed by the sports oath. After the oath, the NCC cadets, student council members and the students of secondary classes started their march past and paid respects to the National Flag.
The student chief guest in her address highlighted the significance of the day and she even thanked the school management for giving her this wonderful opportunity. A special article on Republic Day was delivered highlighting the importance of celebrating Republic Day. Students rendered a melodious patriotic song followed by a spectacular dance performance.
Students of secondary classes presented a sports drill with hoops. A skit on environmental protection was presented by the members of Little Greens Club and Science club.
Later the finals of the sports events were started by lighting the torch . Students participated enthusiastically in various events such as Kangaroo Race. Potato Race, Zig zag run,Running race and Relay race. Medals and certificates were given away by the Principal to the winners.
Principal, Smt.Visalakshi greeted the students,teachers and parents on the occasion of Republic Day. She advised the students to uphold the traditions and culture of India. She also inspired the students with her motivational words and told all the students to abide by the rules laid down by the constitution of India. She congratulated the winners of various sports events conducted on account of this auspicious day. Overall, the programme was a grand success.
