LITTLE ANGELS SCHOOL, Ukkunagaram, celebrated ‘Vinayaka Chavithi’ on 30th August with great devotion and enthusiasm. The festival is celebrated to mark the birth of the elephant-headed God Ganesha- the God of prosperity and wisdom.

The students of the ‘Little Greens Club’ also presented an awareness programme on the advantages of organic colour and disadvantages of using artificial colours in the preparation of the Ganesha idols. A live demonstration on immersion of Ganesh idols in an eco-friendly manner was also presented by the students.

In order to promote the usage of eco-friendly idols for a safer environment the members of the ‘Little Green Club’ prepared clay idols and presented the idols to the officials of the Agro Forestry Department, RINL.

Principal Smt. Visalakshi in her message advised the students to have control over the mind and to focus on whatever activity they perform with devotion and concentration. She also insisted to incorporate healthy and nutritious food in their diet and celebrate festivals in an eco-friendly manner so as to eradicate negative impact on the environment and make our earth an eco-friendly planet.
