FIELD TRIP TO METEOROLOGICAL DEPARTMENT
Students of class 7 were taken to the Meteorological Department, Visakhapatnam, as a part of a Field trip on 21.08.19.
Students gained knowledge regarding the weather forecast. Prof. Jagannath Kumar, a meteorologist, explained in detail about the various instruments used to forecast the weather.
Students had a very good interaction with different operators and they keenly observed the instruments with lot of curiosity and acquired practical knowledge.
The department heads were very co-operative and clarified the doubts raised by the students.
Students gained knowledge about the local forecast, warning bulletins which included cyclone warnings, fisherman warnings etc. and understood about various images related to radars and satellites.
The field trip proved to be very informative and interesting for the students.
